25th North Tahoe Regatta
The highest-elevation rowing regatta in the United States.

Where: Tahoe Vista Recreation Area, Tahoe Vista, CA
Elevation: 6,225 feet
Join us for one of the most unique regattas you will ever experience. Race across the crystal clear waters of Carnelian Bay on Lake Tahoe’s north shore, surrounded by picturesque, snow-capped peaks and fresh mountain air. The event is open to all types of rowing shells, including flat water, open water, and coastal.

The Courses
NEW FOR 2023! There are now THREE courses available: a 7km Short Course, a 16km Long Course, and the all new 23km Ultra-Long (Half Marathon) Course.
Each is challenging in its own way, but the Long Course and Half Marathon are reserved for open water and coastal shells only due to their more exposed natures.
In addition, the following safety rules apply to all boats on both courses:
All boats on must either be self-bailing or carry a bailing device onboard.
A PFD must be carried onboard for each rower.
Each boat must carry at least one noisemaker (whistle or air horn).
Though not required, a compass or GPS is strongly advised.
