Summer is Here! (Finally.)

What a wild ride we’ve had with the weather this year! First we didn’t get any snow until Christmas… Then it snowed ten feet in a week… Then it was dry for most January, February, and March… And then we got more snow in April and May than we did in the winter!

Anyway, after several “false Spring” teases, we’re finally back on the water. Here’s a shot of Michael Rousseas and me at Sand Harbor yesterday. He’s in the background rowing in Ripple a LiteBoat LiteRace Carbon Coastal 1x, and that’s me in the foreground looking sunburned in Burnt Cedar, a Maas 27 flatwater shell. We’re in the middle of our roundtrip row from Incline Beach to Sand Harbor, which is almost exactly 10k if you follow the shore (the straight shot across open water shaves off about 1500m).

Stay tuned for an announcement about the series of group rows we have planned for this summer.
